Abstract
The study was conducted in the experimental field of Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University (SAU), Sher-e-Bangla Nagar, Dhaka, Bangladesh during the period from November 2015 to March 2016 to evaluate 8 promising mustard varieties against mustard aphid. The field study was laid out in a randomized complete block design with three replications. Eight mustard varieties viz., BARI Sarisha-9, BARI Sarisha-10, BARI Sarisha-11, BARI harisha-13, BARI Sarisha-14, BARI Sarisha-15, BARI Sarisha-16 and BARI Sarisha-17 were evaluated against aphid infestation in respect of plants, leaves, inflorescence and pods to find out the tolerant variety(ies) against aphid. Out of eight mustard varieties, BARI Sarisha-14 was found as the most preferred host for aphid infestation. Whereas BARI Sarisha-13 was the least preferred varieties for aphid infestation on plants, leaves, inflorescences, and pods. The most susceptible variety BARI Sarisha-14 produced the lowest grain yield ha-1 (405±6.45). The least susceptible variety BARI Sarisha-13 produced the highest grain yield ha-1 (678±2.67).

Key words: Mustard and mustard aphids.
