 Abstract

Seed treatment with Bion (Benzothiadiazole), Amistar (azoxystrobin) and Vitavax-200 (Carboxin) to control tikka disease of peanut var. Jhinga badam was investigated under natural epiphytotic condition during the period of July 2002 to May 2003. Bion and Amistar showed better performance than Vitavax – 200 regarding tikka disease (Cercospora arachidicola and Cercosporidium personatum) in reducing number of diseased leaflets plant-1, percent leaf infection and percent leaf area diseased. Bion increased pod yield plant-1 and kernel yield plant-1 of peanut var. Jhinga badam by up to 23.74 and 16.85 %, respectively whereas, Amistar by up to 69.18 and 90.41 % and Vitavax- 200 by up to 39.47 and 52.36 % over control, respectively.
