Abstract
The experiment was conducted in the Horticulture Farm, Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University, Sher-e-Bangla Nagar, Dhaka, Bangladesh during the period from November 2009 to March 2010 to study the characteristics and yield potential of strawberry (Fragaria × ananassa) genotypes. The experiment consisted of six genotypes ;  FA 01, FA 02, FA 03, FA 04, FA 05 and FA 06.  Results showed that most of the characters of strawberry showed statistically significant variation in different genotypes. The highest yield (8.25 t  ha-1) was obtained from genotype   FA 01 (over 8 t ha-1) followed by FA 02 (7.95 t ha-1) and the lowest yield (5.07 t ha-1) was recorded in FA 03 (202.67 t ha-1).
